What is Fision GO?

Fision GO is a streaming service included with your Digital TV subscription that brings live TV, movies and more to your computer or smart device. In addition, you can also watch TV Everywhere programming over any Internet or mobile connection using the Hotwire Fision app or community page portal.

Where can I download the Fision GO app?

The Fision GO app is available for Apple iOS, Android, and Microsoft devices.

Can I watch content through Fision GO on multiple devices at the same time?

Yes, with Fision GO you can watch up to 5 unique streams at one time.

Is there a delay when viewing programming over Fision GO?

Yes, there can be a delay of up to 20 seconds for programs transmitted through Fision GO. This is because the signal must be compressed for digital television then converted and buffered for your computer or mobile device. This is commonplace for streaming TV and we strive to keep the delay as short as possible.

What equipment do I need to view Fision GO?

If you are a current Hotwire or Fision Internet customer and own a computer or smart device, you do not need any additional equipment

What are the minimum requirements to use Fision GO?

If you are using a laptop or computer, we recommend Chrome or Firefox, at least 4 Mbps Internet speed, and 1 GB RAM. If you are using Windows 7 or earlier with Internet Explorer, we recommend installing the latest Flash Player and Silverlight Plugin.

If you are viewing Fision GO on a mobile device, you will need at least 4 Mbps Internet speed, iOS 10/Android 4.4 or higher, and a stable WiFi connection.

Do I need Adobe Flash Player?

Our player already supports HTML5 and plugins are no longer necessary. You do not need a Flash Player to stream Fision GO unless you are using Windows 7 or older with Internet Explorer, which still needs Flash Player and Silverlight because HTML5 is not supported.

What devices are supported?

Currently you can enjoy Fision GO on:

  1. PC/Mac (Windows 10 and higher, OS X 9 and higher)
  2. iPhone/iPad/iPod (iOS 10 and higher)
  3. Android Smartphone/Tablet (Android v4.4 and higher)
  4. Windows Phone 10
  5. Devices with Windows 10
  6. Chromecast
  7. Xbox One
  8. Amazon Fire TV/Fire TV Stick – Coming Soon!
  9. Android TV – Coming Soon!
  10. Apple TV 4 – Coming Soon!

How can I minimize buffering?

a. If you encounter bad quality or buffering issues, please check the following:

  1. You have the minimum required Internet speed of 4 Mbps
  2. No other high bandwidth programs (Skype, YouTube, Netflix, etc.) are running simultaneously on the same device
  3. If using a PC, the most current Internet browser version and Flash Player are installed. If using Mobile, the most current operating system and Fision GO app version are installed on your device
  4. WiFi connection is stable

Can I watch premium channels with Fision GO?

No, but you can access content from any premium channels you are currently subscribed to using the appropriate channel’s TV Everywhere app.

Does Fision GO include HD content?

Yes, all channels on Fision GO are available in HD.

Can I watch Pay per View through Fision GO?

No, not at this time.

How much storage space is available using the premium DVR feature?

There are two subscriptions available offering 50 or 500 hours of stored content.

Can I view On Demand content using Fision GO?

On Demand access is available on select channels.

What type of connection is needed to view Fision GO?

To view the majority of channels available on Fision GO, you will need to be on a Fision WiFi network. Only select channels can be viewed if you are connected to another network, such as a friend’s WiFi or a public hotspot. To view content on any network, anywhere, use a TV Everywhere app. You can access these through your community page, the Hotwire Fision app, or a direct URL to the channel of your choosing.

Can I stream live TV and On Demand content when I am away from home?

Currently, if you are not on your home network, you can view select channels or your recorded content if you subscribe to the Cloud DVR package. However, you can use a TV Everywhere app and log in using your Hotwire credentials.

Will using Fision GO use mobile data?

If you are not on a Fision WiFi network (or a WiFi network of any kind) and you are viewing the select channels available outside the home you may be using cellular data.

Are other languages available when using this app?

Yes – English, Spanish, German, French, and Italian are available. Please note the language option determines text in the app only, it does NOT apply to the language broadcast on each channel
